The desert is an area of flat, dried up land, a basin which is also seen as a harsh environment typically unconducive to easy living, yet is also seen as a territory of visionary new forms of domesticity. This futuristic dystopian wasteland of a world is becoming a part of a utopian community, in which people a reembracing what it has to offer. Trying to define reality from fantasy in the desert can become extremely difficult to prove as our eyes can be unreliable.
The desert can be an illusion of hope, a mirage. Constantly questioning the reality from the fantasy. Optical phenomenon in which an object appears displaced of its true position as a result of spatial variations. The desert brings out the strangeness of people and thousands of conspiracies arise. Really questioning what the desert brings into new forms of domesticity. Dust is something you cannot run away from in the desert. There is a temporal aspect of dust and dirt in depth as it is an uncanny register of time.
